Robert Gray III is a Detroit native, raised and educated right here in the city. Robert got into fitness in his teen years, mostly weight training and calisthenics, and even made a job of it as a trainer during his undergrad years. Sacrificing a few years from fitness to meet career demands in the tech industry, Robert only recently got back into fitness and through a friend and discovered WeRun313 this past summer. Since joining the club Robert has gone from struggling to run a mile to completing a 5k in under 30 minutes. This newfound passion for running has pushed the boundaries or Robert’s fitness goals and taught him new methods of mental discipline and focus. He now sees the journey of a run as applicable to the journey of life in one simple phrase; life is long, pace yourself.
